A big target in the Manchester United midfield is keen on a move to Old Trafford next summer, while the reasons for Newcastle’s failed transfer to Hamza Choudary – all in Thursday’s Paper Talk – were revealed.

It is said that Manchester United could get lucky next summer, as Declan Rice is expected to seal his move away from West Ham.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United are expected to intensify their pursuit of a defensive midfielder – with Rice seen as a realistic option.

MEN previously claimed that while Rice was eager to move to Old Trafford this summer, the Red Devils were already great at striking a deal.

Rice is lined up as a replacement for Nemanja Matic at United, while also considered a promotion for Fred and possibly Scott McTominay.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was actually expected to upgrade his engine room this summer. However, the club opted to secure deals for Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane instead.

United are expected to push champions Manchester City to the limit in the title race this season. But despite that, it looks like they already have one eye on their transportation business next summer.

Solskjaer’s men face Newcastle at Old Trafford in their upcoming Premier League fixtures on September 11th.
