Celebrities may be eliminated after Storm Arwen was said to have smashed parts of the group, causing the celebrity to be evicted.

The sources said the show could be postponed or even canceled indefinitely to try and find out what has been damaged and what has not.

Insiders told The Sun that the show could be delayed for a long time as they try to understand “where to go from here” after the damage from the storm over the weekend.

A source said, “This is a crushing blow. No one expected the catastrophe this storm would bring and it totally stunned us.

“The worst damage was to one of our three production areas – the tent where we keep our scanners, TV editorial suite, production desk and our IT equipment. From the outside, it crashed.

“At the moment, we still don’t know what the damage was to the equipment, as we can’t get in until it is declared safe.

“But we need time to fix everything, and the break is buying us some time. We hope as opposed to hoping that it will be enough and we can be back on Monday.

“Going forward after that, we also need the green light to get more staff back on set. But for now, nothing is guaranteed.”

Another insider told the Sunday Mirror: “I’m a Celebrity is the jewel in the crown of ITV – one of their highest-grossing and most popular shows.

“Having her, even for 48 hours, a week into the series is a disaster.”

The celebrity contestants returned to quarantine this evening as the presidents made the decision to remove them from the camp.

“While we restart the production base after experiencing technical problems due to the storm, we have removed the celebrities from the castle,” ITV confirmed in a statement.

The campmates will return to the castle once the entire production has been safely recreated, with the celebrities quarantined conditions as they were before they joined the show.

If they come into contact with anyone outside of I’m A Celeb’s safe Covid bubble, they will not be allowed back into camp – with Richard Madley being taken out of the show just four days later due to a hospital rush.

It was previously reported that the show’s production area “looks like a bomb hit it,” with a “horrified” crew almost exploding with their feet.
