After rolling through the desert with a little sandy sand in exhilarating Far: Lone Sails, developers Okomotive will soon invite us to sail above and below an exotic ocean in the sequel. They announced today that Far: Changing Tides is releasing on March 1st and oh my gosh, it’s another highly anticipated indie game that will be available through Game Pass from the start. (We expected it, anyway — it’s one of the most anticipated games of 2022.)
Changing Tides will introduce a new hero on a new adventure in new parts of the ancient Far environment. Toe is their name, and they’ve awakened in a flooded world and will need to cross with an alien ship, scavenge for supplies, and fix things along the way. And also a lot of drinking just in that big mood.
Yes, I’m definitely ready for more of those feelings, especially because the sequel introduces my original element. Our review of the original Far: Lone Sails 2018 edition gave us a big thumbs up.
“I’ve never played anything like Far: Lone Sails, and in this turbulent world of ours, his meditative and gentle journey was exactly what I needed,” said Sam Greer. “And you know, I have to pretend to be a crazy sailing train captain for a few hours, so that’s a thing.”
Now: Changing Tides is set to launch on March 1st on Steam, Epic, and the Microsoft Store. It will cost £15 / €20 / $20 or it will be covered by a PC Game Pass subscription. The game is heading to PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch as well.
