We are speaking to the families of the people involved and are doing everything we can to support them at this difficult time. We can now confirm that both the deceased were known to each other and there are no suspects stuck.

“A man who was driving a car has been arrested and on bail for a very serious offense and we must conduct a full investigation and study all the circumstances. I would like to ask the media not to speculate on the causes of deaths while we wait for the results of two post-mortem autopsies, it is important that we deal with the facts.”

“Finally, we appreciate the support we have received from the public. A number of people have already come forward, but we are still asking anyone who does not have to contact us. Any information can be vital in helping us fully understand why this horrific incident occurred.”

Earlier, Ms Shkevi’s tearful son joined mourners who laid flowers at the scene and said, “She didn’t deserve to die.”

Please keep it in your prayers. Everyone who knew her knows that she was a good human being,” he said.

The MailOnline reports that Ms. Shkevi and Mr. McCasker have been married for two years, during which time she was allegedly abused by her husband.

One of her sons reportedly claimed that the mature student of Moroccan descent had obtained a restraining order against her ex-husband after their divorce three years ago, and set a panic alarm in her apartment because she was too afraid of him.
