Another friend, Mackenzie Palm, said she wished she had told Mrs. Wadsworth “one last time I love you”.
She wrote, “You were my best friend, my family, and my rock. We went through so many stages together, did so many silly things together. We made so many memories… I hope heaven is all you read about in church and more.”
Her fellow devotees also paid tribute to Mrs. Wadsworth including Daniel Seaman, who mentioned her as a “woman of great faith”.
He recalled how Mrs. Wadsworth was initially skeptical about the Book of Mormon and told him that she did not believe the Bible.
But shortly before, however, she texted him saying, “This book has bound me to Christ more than the Bible has.”
Seaman wrote on Facebook: “It was inspiring to see her faith grow and develop over those few months.
“She had a hard life, but she was determined to try it all.”
“Thank you for your faith and friendship, Ashley,” he added.
Essex Police have asked anyone with information about the incident, which occurred around 4.15pm on Tuesday, to contact the force.
