A prominent Kremlin supporter has criticized Russia’s war in Ukraine during an interview with a state television presenter, as small but significant cracks appeared in President Putin’s propaganda machine.
“If you don’t take cities you achieve nothing. Not a single city has been taken,” said Yakov Kedmi, a Moscow-born former Israeli diplomat who has often defended the Kremlin’s position.
“What was the strategic plan? Walk around the walls of Jericho and blow trumpets until the authorities surrender? That’s a Biblical legend,” Kedmi, 75, said during an online talk show hosted by Vladimir Solovyov, a well-known television presenter.
