CCTV footage captures sound of gunshots during shooting of Olivia Pratt-Korbel
It is “unclear” if the gunman who shot dead Olivia Pratt-Korbel is still in the country, Merseyside Police have said, as they vow not to rest until they have found him.
Speaking at a press conference, Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Kameen said it was “unclear at this stage” if the unidentified gunman was still in Liverpool, the North-West or the UK.
He appealed to the killer to hand himself in but said that had not happened.
“My message to him remains the same – we will not rest until we find you and we will find you,” he said.
Detectives also announced in the briefing today that a man who was with the intended target of gunshots that Olivia Pratt-Korbel in Liverpool has been identified by police.
It is not clear if this second target has been arrested at this stage.
The development comes after surveillance camera footage of the nine-year-old’s front yard captured the sound of four gunshots that killed Olivia.

On Thursday, Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Kameen said police were pursuing a number of “positive lines of enquiry” and warned the killer: “We will not rest until we find you and we will find you.”
Speaking at a media briefing at Merseyside Police HQ, he said: “We have had a number of names provided to us.”
He told reporters it was unclear if the gunman may have fled overseas, but said: “We will find him wherever he goes.”

The intended target of the shooting that killed nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel in Liverpool has been named as Joseph Nee, a 35-year-old burglar.
He was named by The Liverpool Echo as Nee, from the Dovecot area of the city, who was jailed by Liverpool Crown Court for six-and-a-half years in November 2009 for being a “lower level player” in a multi-million -pound drug trafficking ring.
He was jailed for another 45 months in 2018 after he and two other men led police on a 125mph high-speed chase.
Nee admitted two counts of burglary, two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.

Detective chief cuperintendent Mark Kameen urged the public to continue sending in information, either through their website or by calling Crimestoppers, in relation to the shooting of nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel in Liverpool.
He said: “I am incredibly grateful for the sheer levels and volume of information that we have received so far.
“This level of engagement, this level of cooperation, and this level of working together simply must continue.”
He added: “I’d like to reassure our communities that are working relentlessly on each of these murder investigations.”

It is not clear if he has been arrested or not.

The career criminal, aged 35, remains in hospital after he himself was shot. He has been arrested for breaching the terms of license conditions imposed on him after he was released from prison for previous offences. It has been reported that, so far, he is refusing to cooperate with detectives.
