An earthquake of moderate intensity has struck central Nepal on Sunday night.

According to the Nepal Earthquake Research and Monitoring Centre, a tremor measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale was recorded at 10.53 pm, with its epicenter in Dading district, 50 km west of Kathmandu.

The earthquake was also felt in Kathmandu and surrounding areas. However, there were no reports of property damage or injuries.
