Earthquake in India: An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale hit Guwahati this afternoon. According to the National Center of Seismology, the earthquake occurred northeast of Guwahati at 12:27 pm.
“An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale occurred 62 km northeast of Guwahati at around 12:27 pm today. The depth of the quake was 10 km underground,” the National Center for Seismology said.

There have been no reports so far of any injuries. The National Center of Seismology (NCS) is the nodal agency of the Government of India for monitoring seismic activity in the country.
