Mirpur (Dunia News) – An earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale jolted the city of Mirpur and adjoining areas in Azad Jammu and Kashmir late Sunday night, Dunya News reported.

According to the details obtained, different earthquakes were felt in different parts of Azad Kashmir including Bhimber, Kotli, Dadial and other areas.

People came out of their homes in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran. No loss of life or property was reported in any part of Mirpur due to the quake.

According to the National Seismological Center Islamabad, the epicenter of the quake was near Mirpur in Azad Kashmir at a depth of seven kilometers.
