Time is finally up for Windows 8, with Microsoft’s legacy operating system ending support today. New in-app purchases will no longer be possible, though existing purchases will still be usable with Sunset. The Windows 8 end of life was announced last year but today has finally arrived, which means that “technical assistance and software updates will no longer be available”. Microsoft’s support post has the full details, although the short version is that the operating system is no longer receiving updates or tech support, while the App Store will be closed starting today, effectively deleting anything available exclusively to Windows 8 because the Purchase will no longer be possible. Owned and verified addresses will still be usable after today. Microsoft is pulling the plug on Windows 8 today this certainly shouldn’t affect a lot of things some of the games only available via the Windows 8 store have already been deleted but our game info wise they suggested a few of them made it to This last day. BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, Kinectimals Unleashed, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+, Rabbids Big Bang, Rayman Jungle Run, Samurai vs Zombies Defense, and Toy Soldiers Cold War: Touch Edition are mentioned. You may still have time to do some last-second captures.

Are you still making use of your Windows 8 device? Planning on making any purchases by hitting the bell? Let us know!
