Billie Eilish has requested a restraining order against a man who allegedly broke into her home and declared his love for her.
The 21-year-old international star said the alleged break-in – and five previous incidents she says involved the same man – had caused “great concern, fear and emotional distress” for her and her family’s safety.
Eilish stated in legal documents that the man, identified as Christopher Anderson, issued “threats of violence” against her.
Legal documents lay out allegations that the 39-year-old made an “unannounced and uninvited” appearance at Eilish’s childhood home several times between late December and early January.
Anderson recently walked into the property on January 5 – “apparently declaring his love for me and genuinely wanting to meet me,” Eilish said.
“I have seen pictures of this person and I can confirm that I have no idea who he is and that I had no previous relationship or contact with him,” the singer stated in the documents.
“I am afraid that one day one of these people will do something very violent or upsetting to me or a member of my family,” she added.
The restraining order is required to protect her mother and father, Maggie May Bird and Patrick Meade O’Connell, as well as her brother and producer Phineas O’Connell.
Eilish’s application was filed with Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday.
