Charles III and Queen Camilla appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace in flight after their coronation in Westminster Abbey.
Charles and Camilla returned dressed in lavish robes and donning their crowns to a wave of cheers from the crowd, who filled the mall after braving torrential rain to witness a colorful, festive military parade not seen in 70 years.
The Prince and Princess of Wales and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis joined the King as did the Pages of Honor.
Earlier, Charles became the 40th ruler to be crowned in the abbey, the nation’s coronation church since 1066, with the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby placing St Edward’s crown on his head.
After the king’s coronation, the bells of Westminster Abbey rung for two minutes and a fanfare is called. The Royal Horse Artillery, stationed at Horse Guards Parade, also fired a cannon salute.

Assistant Commander Matt Wells, the Army’s most senior reserve officer in Northern Ireland, said it was an honor to take part in the ceremony.
He said: “Today is a wonderful day, it is the coronation of our new King and we are here celebrating it at Hillsborough Castle.
“What a day to celebrate and what a place to be. It is a very important day especially for the Northern Ireland Army Reserve.
The guns which were fired today to the Royal Cannon Salute were provided by the Army Reserve of the 206th (Ulster) Battery stationed at Newtownards and Coleraine.
“It is an absolute honor to be here and a privilege for the Army Reserve to play such an important role on a day like today.”
