Ukraine launches land and sea drone attacks on a major seaport of Crimea

[ad_1]

Russia announced that Ukraine launched land and sea drone attacks on a major naval port in Crimea overnight.

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that two drones were shot down over the Black Sea at a great distance from the coast, while five were intercepted by Russian electronic warfare forces.

The ministry said two unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV), known as underwater drones, were discovered in the northern part of the Black Sea, and were destroyed by fire.

The ministry added that there were no injuries or damages.

Russia’s Sevastopol governor, Mikhail Razvogayev, later said on Telegram that the tenth drone had been electronically disabled.

There was no immediate comment from Ukraine on the attack on the port of Sevastopol in Crimea, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014. Ukraine has almost never publicly commented on the attacks.
