Metropolitan Police officers use counter-terrorism tactics to catch some of the worst predators targeting women on the streets of London.
Force uses the Cambridge Crime Damage Index to assess the 35,000 offenders reported each year for crimes against women and girls in an effort to rank the 100 most dangerous to the public.
Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley called the strategy “innovative” and described the steps as “advanced” as he tries to reform the Metropolitan Police.
Mr Rowley said: “It takes the form of organized crime or terrorism in dealing with male predatory violence.
“If we proactively go after them, and build a case against them, and get them off the streets, and protect the women and children of London, that’s an indication of something more innovative, more advanced, and how we reform the way we police London.”

The Met came under fire after internal scandals and the officers were found guilty of various crimes including rape, assault, and even murder.
The force was described as institutionally racist, sexist and homophobic in a report by Baroness Louise Casey after a year-long investigation into the organisation.

Mr. Rowley said the Met was “getting rid of the problem” to form a “healthier organization focused on serving the public.”
He acknowledged that the road ahead for two or three years would be “bumpy” for the force but was “confident” that the organization would make it through.

Plans for police reform, a two-year, £366m scheme called A New Met for London, is launched with visits to all 32 London boroughs.
Chiefs say there will be an increased focus on neighborhood policing in an effort to rebuild public trust.
About 240 officers out of the Met’s total workforce of approximately 34,000 will be transferred from center teams to local teams.
There are also plans to recruit 500 Community Support Officers (PCSOs) and an additional 565 people to work with teams investigating domestic violence, sexual crimes, and child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Each district will have at least one front counter open 24 hours a day under the proposals.
