President Biden joked while taking questions at a news conference Sunday after the G7 summit, claiming that his staff would get upset with him if the event didn’t go as they wanted.
Early on in the question-and-answer portion of the show, Biden was quick to tell reporters that he would be working rigorously through the book.

“I’m sorry, I’m going to have trouble with staff if I don’t do it the right way,” Biden said before calling Jennifer Jacobs of Bloomberg.
However, soon after, it appeared that Biden had already deviated from protocol by answering one last question after the event appeared to be over. In his hand, Biden looked as if he was about to walk off the stage, but paused to listen to another reporter.

This isn’t the first time Biden has joked or raised suspicions that his therapist is trying to control the number of questions he asks.
In April, after receiving questions about wearing a mask and meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Biden apologized while saying he should stop.
He said, “I’m sorry.” “That’s the last question I’m going to ask, and I’m really going to be in trouble.”
In March, the White House raised eyebrows when it abruptly cut off the broadcast of a virtual event after Biden said he was “happy to take questions” from Democratic lawmakers.

“I’d be happy to take questions if that’s what I’m supposed to do, Nance,” Biden told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. “Whatever you want me to do.”
