WILTON MANORS, FL – One person was killed and another hospitalized after they were hit by a man driving a truck on Saturday at Stonewall Pride Parade in Wilton Manors.
Newly obtained surveillance video shows a white pickup truck crashing into a fence and cutting plants at the Fort Lauderdale Garden Center on Northeast 4th Street near 16th Street.
Seconds before, off camera, the same pickup truck drove into a crowd of people at the LGBTQ parade at Wilton Manors.
It was bad,” said Keith Wittousek, a mechanic at Fort Lauderdale Gardens Center. “I was like, ‘Oh my God. I can’t believe this is happening.’”
The first responders within the crowd quickly aided the two injured men, performing CPR.
“Both men were transferred to Broward Health Medical Center, where one of them was later pronounced dead,” Dett said. Ali Adamson of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department. “The other man is still at Broward Health Medical Center and is expected to live.”

The authorities have not released the names of any of the victims yet.
The police detained the driver of the white truck.
The FBI joins the investigation as investigators work to find out whether the incident was a hate crime or just a horrific accident.
