LeBron James is sending a message to the world as his new movie takes over the box office.
James took to Twitter to link to an article that “Space Jam: A New Legacy” is set to finish the weekend at number one with an expected $32 million opening, beating out “Black Widow.”
“Hello haters!” James wrote with a smiley emoji.
The 1996 sequel to Space Jam led by Michael Jordan grossed more than $13 million on Friday, according to multiple reports, despite the poor reviews. The film, which was said to have cost $150 million, is also available on HBO Max.
After opening Black Widow last weekend with $80 million domestic ticket sales and $78 million international, the Marvel flick is expected to make nearly $26 million in its second weekend.
Space Jam: A New Legacy starring LeBron James will open number 1 at the box office.
Other stars to appear on the “Space Jam” series include Anthony Davis, Damien Lillard, Nika Ogomec, Diana Torassi and Clay Thompson.
