HK’s women’s table tennis team is advancing to the semi-finals

HONG KONG – The Hong Kong women’s team gathered past Brazil 3-1 to reserve the quarter-finals in the table tennis team competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on Sunday.
Minnie Soo Wai-yam / Lee Ho-Ching opened the match by winning 3-0 Jessica Yamada / Caroline Kumahara, but Lee lost 2-3 in the third game to Kumahara.
The team’s best player, Doo Hoi-kem, won two points in the second and fourth games, beating Bruna Takahashin 3-0 and Jessica Yamadan 3-1.

The Hong Kong team will meet in the Romanian quarterfinals on Monday at 13.30 Hong Kong time.
