English pacifier Stuart Broad is out of the series against India as well as the rest of the English summer due to a calf injury. Stuart Broad experienced a physical problem during the initial warm-up of the exercise before the second test. Scans confirmed it was a third-degree rupture of the calf.
Stuart Broad grabbed the handle of social media and wrote a sincere note of his current situation. He spoke of his disappointment at losing the series against India and revealed that his main goal at the moment was to get fit for Ash.
“Things can change so fast. A moment before training all the smiles, then during the warm-up I jumped an obstacle, landed a little awkwardly on my right ankle, and the next step felt like Id had been beaten as hard as you can imagine behind my feet,” he wrote .
“I actually turned to @ jimmya9 and asked why he whipped me! But when I realized he wasn’t even close to me, I knew I was in trouble. Scans say it’s a Class 3 calf. Everything so harmless. The season ended and I missed this Indian test Series, but now the focus is on Australia, “he continued.
“I’m going to take my time, no hurry, baby steps and be the most appropriate when I can be there. Great concentration in my brain. Congratulations to the @englandcricket boys this week.
The England and Wales Cricket Committee has called on Saqib Mahmood to replace the injured Stuart Broad in the test team.
