Former NFL player Jay Cutler says he has lost an advertising partnership with Uber Eats for his views on masks.
“A lost ad with Uber eats with the NFL,” Cutler, who played in the NFL 2006-2017, has tweeted on Friday. “I was going to shoot in LA, ‘the views aren’t in line.’ They probably don’t like future school board members. Will release my weekend.”
A Uber spokesman told NBC News in a statement on Monday: We are proud of everything the work Uber has done last year to help as many people as possible get vaccinated. That is why we want to work with those who support this work.
The news comes after Cutler used his Twitter account to oppose schoolgirl camouflage assignments. He also hinted that he would run for a school board seat in Tennessee, where he now lives.
“I’ll be back on Twitter. It’s been a long time,” Cutler has tweeted August 9. “Pretty sure Instagram is about to start me, so I need a backup plan. Let’s do this.”
The next day, Cutler has tweeted opposes the mask assignment to schoolchildren in Williamson County, Tennessee.
Cutler tweeted on August 12 that he had learned that the next local school board election is scheduled for 2024, adding that he had to collect 100 signatures and a petition to participate.
“I’m starting to get John Hancocks today,” Cutler wrote.
