Tea times were postponed due to the last day thunderstorm; American Johannes Veerman made the final round 68 to win two shots from Sean Crocker and Tapio Pulkkanen.

Johannes Veerman became the last winner of the European tour after achieving a dramatic victory in the D + D Real Czech Masters.

The American mixed six birdies and two bogies on their way to the final round of 68 at Albatross Golf Resort, finishing under week 15 and two clear of Sean Crocker and night manager Tapio Pulkkanen.

Pulkkanen was at the top of the leaderboard until he dropped three shots above his last two holes to close par 72 and fell to a tie when Henrik Stenson was three paces and was fourth alongside Paul Paulon.

“It’s amazing,” Veerman said. “I played with two big players today, they both played really well all the way. At some point, the three of us were equally in the lead, but I stayed in my game and I can’t believe I won.”

Veerman started the pace in the second group and slid farther with the other hand after seeing Pulkkanen open with the puppy before both players hit the fourth pair.

Birdie in the sixth followed the wins around the turn to move Veerman temporarily ahead of Pulkkanen, who made three-pipe bogeys in the eighth and tenth, but Veerman left seven feet to save the pair 11.

Both players next took advantage of par-five and stayed level with the lead until Pulkkanen birded 15th, and both took shots in par-three 16th place – where playmate Stenson found water on the way on his way to a double bogey – pulling off the field.

Pulkkanen hit 17th place after a misleading tee shot, leaving the pair once again in fourth and last place, where the Finn sent his approach to the water – resulting in a double six – and gave Veerman the victory in a two-pipe par.

Crocker made four straight birds around the turn to help him for the second consecutive 70 and join Pulkkanen in 13th place, while Peterson pruned his only son of the day to fourth last, falling next to Stenson in fourth.
