While the NBA may still be a few months away from return, Paul George and his Clippers teammates are already focusing on the next season. On Saturday night on Instagram, Paul George shared photos of himself, Reggie Jackson and Terance Mann, who all trained together, and wrote the text “Eyes for the Award.”
Terance Mann posted the photos in her Instagram story and shared the same caption. While it’s, after all, just an Instagram post that is likely to focus on exciting the fan base, Clippers and their belief around the NBA season of 2021-22 seems to be the underlying theme.
TMZ recently stopped Serge Ibaka in Los Angeles and repeatedly expressed his feelings for Clippers, saying, “We’re a good team.” His confidence is probably due to what he saw his team do without Kawhi Leonard in the post-2021 season. Paul George, Terance Mann and Reggie Jackson were the three players who took their game to a new level after the fall of Kawhi Leonard, and Clipper fans will surely be thrilled to see them back at the gym.
After Kawhi Leonard’s injury, Reggie Jackson averaged 21.4 PPG on 49% of the field, Paul George averaged 30/11/6 and Terance Mann 12.8 PPG on 56% of the field and 45% deep. The team also boasted a playoff 117.1 ORTG and +5.8 NTRG with Kawhi Leonard on the floor.
If the 2021 playoffs were clues, the Clippers trio, George, Mann and Jackson, would produce league problems while waiting for Kawhi Leonard’s return.
