Hong Kong’s Leung Yuk-wing has won bronze at the Boccia Mixed Individual BC4 at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
Leung beat China’s Zheng Yuansen 5-4 in the playoffs at the Ariake Gym Center on Wednesday morning. The 36-year-old man brings home the city’s second game medal when table tennis star Wong Ting’s insured bronze is on the weekend.
Leung previously won gold at the Athens 2004 and Rio 2016 Paralympics and silver at the Beijing Paralympics in 2008.
Leung Yuk-wing gave full play to his rich experience and went on to compete by winning bronze for Hong Kong with excellent performance, CEO Carrie Lam said in a press release. With his excellent skills, Leung took the medal in the same event for the fourth time and won the second medal for the Hong Kong Chinese delegation at the Games. We are proud of his remarkable achievement.
Leung will play again on Thursday morning in the mixed stage of Boccia with Wong Kwan-hang and Vivian Lau
