LAHORE: Pakistani cricket captain Babar Azam said Thursday that the Indian cricket team would probably be a little more under pressure at the ICC T20 World Cup than Pakistan.

He said Pakistan will play in the T20 World Cup after constantly playing leagues, when India is busy playing test cricket and then they have to play franchise cricket.

India as a team may have difficulty playing T20 cricket because they have played it a long time ago, while Pakistan has the advantage of having recent experience playing seven T20 matches, Azam said.

Every team will take part in the World Cup to win and also the Pakistan T20 World Cup to win decisively, he added.

The skipper noted that India and Pakistan are placed in the same group and will meet on October 24th.

No one can say what happens on match day, but I can say we play our best, Azam said.

Speaking of the United Arab Emirates, he said it has been like Home Field and Pakistan has won 31 T20 matches there.

– The game conditions always benefit us immensely, he said.

The captain of the Pakistan cricket team said on the expected New Zealand tour that he hopes the post-2019 test team against Pakistan will include large New Zealand cricketers.

He said the Pakistani team has some problems with the midfield, but this offers a good opportunity for younger players.

The chief executive has already given an explanation for the rejection of Sarfaraz Ahmed, Azam said.

Azam also spoke about his role as a skipper, saying: I have no pressure as a team captain and I learn from my mistakes.

The captain said he met with former Pakistani captain Ramiz Radja, who is due to become the new chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and they talked about the future of Pakistani cricket.
