We’re in October now, and the Big Ten football season is getting interesting, and a huge showdown with the top four this weekend in Iowa City, when No. 3 Iowa is hosting No. 4 Penn State. Both teams are 5-0 and already have a couple of signing wins.
Iowa won teams placed in Indiana and Iowa to open the season and lead the country in revenue generation. Penn State has big wins from ranked teams from Wisconsin and Auburn, so Saturday’s game should be boring.
Welcome to the first “Big Ten Roundtable” podcast where we discuss all the big things every week with the publishers of our Sports Illustrated / FanNation network. We do this every week for the entire football season and the entire Big Ten basketball season from November to April. We tour around the league and tell all the great stories of the league every week.

Gulick talked about changes in Ohio state defense, quarterback CJ Stroud’s growth, and whether he thinks the Buckeyes are still the Big Ten champion at the end.
Withrow talked about how Northwestern’s youth are struggling, quarterback and getting better hey week.
Brew will also break up the Penn State-Iowa game as he has seen both teams in person already this season and what to expect on Saturday. The home field advantage at Kinnick Stadium is key, he said.
