ARLINGTON, TX – The New York Giants attack guns dropped one at a time on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
Runner Saquon Barkley left an ankle injury during the first quarter, quarterback Daniel Jones got a concussion at the end of the second quarter and wide receiver Kenny Golladay left at half time when he called a hyperextended generation.
Barkley and Jones were both on carts on Sunday with a 44-20 loss to the Cowboys, and they left the rest of the race. It left the giants without seven of their first attack in 11 weeks due to injury.
“It ‘s crazy to look inside [at it], “Golladay said of the giants’ injuries on Sunday.
Barkley has a left ankle sprain, a source told ESPN. He was seen in boots and crutches after the race. The full severity of the injury will become clear after additional tests on Monday. If the results are positive as expected, it is likely that the Giants star will return for “a couple of weeks”.
The Giants will host the Los Angeles Rams and Carolina Panthers for the next two weeks.
“He’s very humble,” said backup Devontae Booker, who stepped in to Barkley. “So he can come back next week. Who knows?”
Jones was in a “good mood” after the race, according to a nearby quarterback. He got the wind out of him and suffered a concussion after bumping into a helmet with Cowboys goalkeeper Jabril Cox trying to get to the finish line before Halftime.
The third-year defender, who had played the best football of his career earlier this season, chatted with his parents outside the locker room during the final minutes of the competition. He also spoke with coach Joe Judge after the game.
“I’m not going to get any medical diagnosis. I saw him in the locker room later. I just checked on him,” the judge said. “Where he’s going next week, I don’t have an answer for you right now. Let’s see where he’s going. Apparently we all hope he comes back and he’s healthy.”

Daniel Jones is tackled right near the end zone and he moves to the sideline before he is driven away.
Golladay suffered his injury in the first quarter as he tried to make a catch on corner striker Trevon Diggs.
“I tried to fight it through, but the pain got a little worse. It’s frustrating,” said Golladay, who has already dealt with hamstring, hip and groin problems this summer and season.
Golladay said he was doing MRI on Monday and “hoping for the best.”
Jones hit while trying to reach the finish line during the third descent at the end of the second quarter and collided with Cox near the finish line. Jones fell to the ground and his mask hit the lawn.
The defender rose slowly after the hit and looked dim. Eventually, he stumbled before officials and teammates kept him on his feet. The cart came to Jones and he was taken to the locker room immediately. Mike Glennon took the lead as a defender.
“To be honest, I thought he got the wind out of him because he was lying there for a while, but got up and put his hands on his knees,” Golladay said. “Every time you see a player stumble a little, no matter the quarterback or not, somehow scary. So definitely try to make sure he’s all right.”
Barkley’s left leg turned sideways as he stepped on the foot of Dallas corner striker Jourdan Lewis in the first quarter after an incomplete pass. He limped off the field in considerable pain.
The star of the giants, running backwards, was shown on the side border with the shoe off and his ankle swollen sharply. He slapped his hand on his feet in disgust before he was taken to the locker room.
“It’s fresh. So I’m pretty sure it’s frustrating for him,” Golladay said as he spoke with Barkley in the locker room. “But at the same time, he’s also in a good mood. I hope he can go.”
The Giants already played without a left fight with Andrew Thomas (foot), wide receiver Sterling Shepard (hamstring), left guard Shane Lemieux (knee) and center Nick Gates (foot).
Thomas was active, but the judge later said it was in the “emergency” role. Lemieux and Gates are injured, while Shepard and wide receiver Darius Slayton (hamstring) have a good chance of coming back next week after having had extensive pre-game rehearsals at full speed.
“I think it was the kind of guys we played with to some degree in the pre-season,” said Glennon, who went from 16/25 at 196 yards and made a touch and two abductions in Jones ’absence.
New York also lost a newcomer-wide receiver to Kadarius Toney when he was thrown out of the blow after the Dallas security Damontae Case explosion in the fourth quarter. Toney, the Giants ’first-round pick this year, played 189 yards in his career.
“There’s a pretty clear line between the competition and things we’re not going to accept as a team that leaves us behind,” Judge said. “It’s not acceptable.”
The referee planned to let the league handle any possible interruptions from the event. Toney also took the cart to the x-ray room after the race as he pointed to his legs.
Barkley’s injury comes just as he seemed to be returning to full health after last season’s torn ACL. He made the game-winning touchdown last week in overtime to win the New Orleans Saints, and also had a 54-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.
Barkley competed in Sunday’s race with 52 moves at 186 yards and two touches. He had two positions for nine yards before being injured against the Cowboys.
