Special One meets Notorious One! Roma boss Jose Mourinho will host MMA star Conor McGregor

Roma manager Jose Mourinho has revealed on social media the details of his meeting with MMA star Conor McGregor on Friday night.

Special One – a former boss of McGregor’s childhood favorites at Manchester United – joined Notorious in the Italian capital at a gathering of two sports giants, and McGregor in Rome at the baptism of his son Rian.

And in his Instagram message, Mourinho revealed to his 2.5 million followers – already held more than 180,000 times – that he offered McGregor a Roma shirt with Conor 10 behind him and in return received a portion of 33-year-old Proper Whiskey.

His caption read: ‘Yes it is him! Yes, the great @thenotoriousmma is in Rome and yes, it was really a pleasure to meet him, share stories and offer him the most beautiful shirt in town @officialasroma.

“He did a miracle, it’s impossible to say no to Conor, I had to try @properwhiskey LEGEND”.

Pictures of McGregor’s story also show the meeting, and the Irish spoke of a respectful dialogue between the couple and wrote a caption: “Respect for this man. Legend. ‘

McGregor also posted footage of his meeting in his Instagram story with his 42.6 million followers

McGregor said he would recently return to Europe to continue his recovery after a long spell in the United States when his broken leg suffered from his defeat against Dustin Poirier in their trilogy battle.

Mourinho has embarked on a solid career at Stadio Olimpico since joining the Premier League in Tottenham in May.

The 58-year-old team has won five and lost two of their seven Serie A matches, finishing fourth in the Champions League and six points away from leader Naples, and is after two wins in Group C of the European Conference League.
