Russia’s Rublev seals the fifth ATP final doubles

Russian Andrey Rublev became the fifth single player to reach the season-ending ATP final in Turin next month, the men’s tour said.

“I’m so happy to be able to compete back with the top eight players in the world,” Rublev said in an ATP release on Saturday. – This is a unique and prestigious tournament and I can’t wait to get to play in Turin.

Rublev will join the world’s number one sealing venues for Novak Djokovic of Serbia, Daniil Medvedev of Russia and the US Open, Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece and Alexander Zverev of Germany on November 14-21.

The Russian debuted in the prestigious tournament in 2020, when it was last held in London before moving to Turin.

He is in sixth place after achieving the best fifth place in his career in the men’s rankings last month.

Italian Matteo Berrettini, Norwegian Casper Ruud and Polish Hubert Hurkacz are following the qualifiers. The ATP finals are played between the top eight men’s singles and doubles teams.
