UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Well. 13 Penn State women’s volleyball will begin its longest home game of the season (four matches) as it hosts Maryland on Friday at 7.30pm and Illinois on Saturday at 4pm. On Friday, there will be a team THON match where fans are encouraged to wear bright clothing. colors, while Saturday is Halloween night, and fans are encouraged to dress up.

HISTORY OF THE SERIES – MARYLAND
• Penn State is the all-time 29-5-1 against Maryland in the 1976 series.
• Lions have won 26 consecutive matches in a series. Terrapins’ last victory came in 1979.
• Penn State is 13-0 against Terrapins in Rec Hall.
• The current senior class is 4-0 against Maryland, but two of those matches went five rounds. Lions would sweep a 2-0 loss on their way to victory in College Park earlier this season. Kaitlyn Hord won nine blocks, while Penn State finished with 17 teams.

• Penn State is 27-3 against Illini in Rec Hall. Lions have won five in a row at Rec Hall, and Illin’s last win there came in 2014.

• Illinois is 14-7 overall and 6-4 in Big Ten after winning Northwestern and Michigan in a row.
• The biggest win of the Illini season came on the road from the then No. 4 Purdue in five sets.
