Delhi HC will appoint a 3-member committee to investigate match-fixing allegations

The dispute between Manika Batra and the TTFI has further developed when the HC of Delhi ordered the appointment of a 3-member committee. This committee will investigate the whole dispute, and in particular the allegations made by Manika Batra against Soumyadeep Royta.

Judge Rekha Palli has been chairing the case for the last two months and has tried to find a friendly solution as early as possible. He stated it “When these athletes get bearings, you want to celebrate them and when they’re in trouble, you don’t want to stand with them.” The hearing was originally postponed to December 6, but the TTFI has examined the evidence and investigated the charges. This has led to an acceleration of the case, especially on 10-17 November.
