Howe: Iowa Football is strong in recruiting

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa Football’s recruitment in the 2022 class lagged far behind six months ago. The Hawkeyes made six verbal commitments at the end of June, falling short of some of the key targets that month.

Recruitment Director Tyler Barnes expressed frustration negative recruitment against the program. Head coach Kirk Ferentz acknowledged the struggles and announced that Iowa would do what it could in 22, but will focus more on building strong classes in future episodes.

Hawkeyes recovered from a couple of reports showed racial open-mindedness in their establishment. Myllerrys struck during the pandemic and while recruiting university football across the country dealt with a 15-month deadlock.
