New Delhi: Veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh announced on Friday he would quit all cricket.
The 41-year-old has played 103 tests, 236 ODIs and 28 T20Is in men’s blue. He scalped 294 cards in limited round cricket. “Everything good ends and today, as I bid farewell to the game that has given me everything in life, I want to thank everyone who made this 23-year journey beautiful and memorable. My heartfelt thanks,” Harbhajan Singh tweeted on Friday.
He played his last red ball match against Sri Lanka in 2015, while his last ODI match was played against South Africa in the same year. His last game in India was the T20I with the UAE in the 2016 Asia Cup. Since then, he has not been elected to the Indian side.
Harbhajan will retire after scaling 417 places in 103 tests with an average of 32.46. The winner of the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 World Cup is also the first Indian to get to test the hat trick.
In total, the cricket player born in Jalandhar has played 367 international matches and made 711 international visits and made 3,569 international runs.
