Stuart Broad complains after his rise was blocked. Picture / Twitter
Fast bowlers are a rare sport, and England’s Stuart Broad made this clear for everyone to see with a strange complaint.
The veteran seam was coming to bowle to Mitchell Starc, but retreated at the last second, and something in his eye line clearly bothered him.
Broad withdrew from the wrinkle and didn’t yell at anyone in particular, “Stop moving the robot!”
He referred to Fox Cricket’s orbiting camera, which was behind the restraining rope at the end of the wicketkeeper, about 75 yards away.
Usually, adventurers retreat at the last minute as they complain about a problem on the screen and confused fans quickly fasted Broad for his tricks.
Sports reporter Mark Gottlieb tweeted: “A bowler who retreats because there is movement behind the batsman (in this case the camera robot) is completely ridiculous.
“Just bow the ball. Are you going to withdraw from the delivery if the fan gets up and goes for a beer? This isn’t tennis or golf. Don’t be so damn expensive.”
