For a team that didn’t score a lot of goals last year, Sun Devils looks like they want to improve the third round of the game through the transfer portal.
Former Colorado State kicker and Verrado High School (Buckeye, Ariz.) Alumnus Robert Liss announced on his Twitter page that he will move to Arizona State for the 2022 season.
Liss joins a crowded but unpredictable group of kickers. ASU kicked 8-13 goals this season, and Christian Zendejas (8-11) took most of the starting passes. Logan Tyler, who missed two other companies, ended his final year of eligibility in 2021 and will not return.
Another local kick product, Jace Feely, didn’t try to kick in her freshman season last year. Three-star kicker Carter Brown also signed his letter of intent during this signing period to strengthen the room and is expected to compete.
In one season at Colorado State, Liss played 4-7 in field goals, including a 48-yard season. He also scored all 30 extra points.
