Tyson Fury warns that Francis Ngannou will hit “much harder” than Deontay Wilder: “He has the world’s hardest hit” | Boxing news

Francis Ngannou hits harder than Deontay Wilder and knocked out Tyson Fury if he did a boxing crossover, his manager has warned.

Ngannou will join the UFC heavyweight championship against Ciryl Gane on Saturday night in California – the final battle in his contract with a mixed martial arts organization.

“My dream since I was a child was to become a boxer,” Ngannou has said as he reveals his desire to fight WBC champion Fury.

His manager, Marquel Martin, told Sky Sports: “Francis is dangerous to Fury because the best fighter against Fury so far is Deontay Wilder. Deontay is not known for ‘sweet science’ – he is known for his destructive power.

“With that power, he managed to get some (very difficult) power bags that brought Tyson to the canvas a few times.

“I understand that Tyson is very hard to beat. However, if Francis put together six to 12 months of strict boxing, I’m sure Francis can learn the mechanics and timing he would need to get to the power shots.

“Now I respect Tyson all over the world, but Francis hits much harder than Deontay.

“It simply came to our notice then.

“Francis’ strength has been measured and proven, and the experts concluded – he has the hardest hit in the world.”

Since Conor McGregor lost to Floyd Mayweather, a series of MMA fighters have stumbled into the boxing ring, including Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley (who lost to Jake Paul) and Frank Mir (who was knocked out by Kubrat Pulev), although Anderson Silva succeeded. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

“The only thing that makes Francis different from other boxing MMA fighters is Francis’ dimension and God-given power – very good leveling in need, ”Martin said.

“Not to mention, it’s Francis Ngannou – his way of thinking is like no one I’ve ever known. After all he’s experienced in his life, he has no fear. Defying the probabilities is what he’s built for.”

Ngannou has said before the last fight about his current UFC deal: “I always knew I wanted to get some boxing in my career before the end of my career.”

Martin said: “Obviously the UFC business is a priority in his current situation, but Francis takes boxing very seriously – it was his first dream. That’s what he left for Africa to learn to do. No OCT. A lot of people don’t know that.”

What’s next for Tyson Fury?

The undefeated WBC champion will continue negotiations to fight his obligatory challenger Dillian White – the deadline for signing a private contract is Friday before the purse offers.

Anthony Joshua has launched a rematch clause to fight IBF, WBA and WBO champion Oleksandr Usyk, but the date and place have not yet been decided.

Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk told Sky Sports this week that they will also be discussing the next meeting with Fury, and that is still an option.
