Raj Bawa scored India’s best goal in an unbeaten 162 run as India won 405/5 against Uganda in 50 moves in their final group stage match at the ICC Under-19 World Championships in Trinidad on Saturday. Bawa now has a record. the highest personal score for an Indian hit at the World Under-19 World Championships. Previously, the record was dominated by Shikhar Dhawan, who made 155 runs in the 2004 tournament against Kenya. Angkrish Raghuvanshi supported Bawa well, who returned adding 144 runs to his name. The duo added 206 runs to the third door against Uganda. This is also the second time the Indian team has made more than 400 innings in innings. The total number of 405 runs in India is the highest for any team in this U-19 World Cup.
The highest score for the Indian team at the Under-19 World Championships is 425, which was scored in the same match in 2004, where Dhawan scored 155.
India have already reserved their place in the quarterfinals and if it wins this match, it will end the group stage at the top of the table.
