The best (and worst) reactions to the new name of the Washington football team

After 18 months of waiting, the artist, formerly known as the Washington Football Team, officially announced its new name: Commanders. Woooo? Many fans were confused at best, and no one – not even the President of the United States – felt ashamed to share their opinions with the world.

Much of the criticism was that the name was a complete nap.

Even after decades of chaos, lawsuits, and racism charges under the Redskins name, does Washington football need a boring name? Or maybe not.

Changing the brand will always be difficult, and I think “The Washington Commanders” is a good name.

Washington Commanders is like when a movie doesn’t get the rights to use a real team, so they throw something out quickly and hope it just doesn’t cause too much confusion
