Georgia Amoore named ACC’s Co-Player of the Week Monday afternoon

Virginia Tech PG Georgia Amoore was named the ACC’s Co-Player of the Week the conference office announced Monday afternoon. Amoore helped the Hokies to three victories in a six-day span as they defeated Clemson 73-42, no. 11 Georgia Tech 63-53 and No. 23 UNC 66-61.

The Aussie averaged better than 17 points per game and made 54% of her 3-point FGs. She also recorded 3.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.0 steals over the course of the week.

Amoore made five 3’s in consecutive games for the first time in her career.

She was awarded the Sports Center’s Top Play for her crossover step back triple against Georgia Tech.
