Quarterfinals – The Daily Gazette

[ad_1]

The first round of the ECAC Hockey tournament went chalk. All the home teams – Union, RPI, Colgate and St. Lawrence – advanced to the quarterfinals. Union and Colgate swept, while RPI and St. Lawrence needed three games to win their series.

Now, those four teams head on the road for the quarterfinals. Can one of the road teams win a series? I think one can.

I went 3-1 last week. My only loss was the Brown-St. Lawrence series.

Of those who sent their picks last week, Achilles 3-7-5, Andy Weise, Brian Unger, Matthew Ruffini, RedLiner36, Dutch Crazy and Christopher Chadwick went 4-0. Going 3-1 were Union Bob, Jim Kalohn, Kevin Sokolski and Ryan Fay.

Time for the ECAC Hockey tournament quarterfinals Picks. If you want to play, send your Picks in by 7 pm Friday. Email your Picks to [email protected].

Here are my picks:

Union at No. 17 Clarkson – Clarkson wins in 2 by scores of 4-2 and 6-2.

RPI at Harvard – Harvard wins in 3 by scores of 1-2, 3-1 and 4-3.

Colgate at No. 18 Cornell – Colgate wins in 3 by scores of 4-2, 2-3 and 3-1.

St. Lawrence at No. 6 Quinnipiac Quinnipiac wins in 2 by scores of 5-1 and 6-0.
