David Quinn Named Head Coach of 2022 US Men’s National Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – David Quinn (Cranston, RI) has been named head Coach of the 2022 US Men’s National Team that will compete in the upcoming IIHF Men’s World Championship May 13-29 in Tampere and Helsinki, Finland.

“We really excited to have David Guiding our team,” he said Ryan Martin, general manager of the 2022 US Men’s National Team and also the Assistant general manager of the NHL’s New York Rangers. “He brings a broad experience, including on the international stage, and that will serve us well in our ultimate goal of bringing home the gold medal.”

While Quinn is guiding the U.S. Men’s National Team for the first time, they’ve been involved with U.S. teams on the international teams multiple times.

Last month he served as the head coach of the 2022 US Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team and guided the youngest team in the tournament to an unbeaten record in the preliminary round before a shootout loss in the quarterfinals eliminated Team USA.
