Chennai: Leaders including chief minister MK Stalin have condoled the death of table tennis player Viswa Deenadayalan in an accident in Meghalaya, where he went to participate in a tournament on Sunday.
In his message, the chief minister condoled the death of Viswa Deendayalan, and said that ₹ 10 lakh would be given to the bereaved family, from the chief minister’s relief fund. He has said that it was expected that Deenadayalan would win Laurels for the state and the Nation and that his untimely death was a big loss. Tamil Nadu Congress committee president KS Alagiri, also extended his condolences to the family of the 18-year-old player. PMK leader S Ramdoss, said that it was unfortunate that such a promising player lost his life while going to participate in a tournament.
Meanwhile, Vishwa Deenadayalan’s body was airlifted to Chennai. on Monday. His three teammates were also injured in the road accident in Meghalaya. They were going to take part in the 83rd Senior National Table Tennis Championship.
