LITCHFIELD – The Litchfield Dragons posted a 7-0 non-league tennis victory over the Fairmont Cardinals on Friday.
Alex Draeger captured all 12 games against Fairmont’s Jack Hagen at first singles, while Mason Woelfeld netted a back-to-back 6-0 set wins over Dominick Lund-May at No. 2 singles.
Garrison Jackman shut out Sebastian Castro during their No. 3 singles match, while the Dragons received a forfeit at the No. 4 spots.
Braden Olson and Tyler Peunoty served back-to-back 6-0 set losses to the Cardinals’ Carter Quist and Noah Vetter at No. 1 doubles, while Eli Schachever and Brady Cannon claimed a 6-0, 6-1 win over Oliver Thedens and Wylee Frederiksen at No. 1. 2 doubles.
Josh Blomberg and Gray Nelson capped the Dragons’ shutout via a 6-0, 6-0 win over Simone Castro and Anthony Stegge at third doubles.
Fairmont (0-6) plays host to Redwood Valley at 4:30 pm Tuesday.
