New Paltz ends regular season with Victory over Vassar – Daily Freeman

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY SUNY New Paltzs field hockey team closed out the regular season with a 1-0 Victory over Hudson Valley Rival Vassar
College is Saturday.

The Hawks (10-6) will now start play in the SUNYAC Playoffs as the No. 4 seeds The Hawks face a tough challenge when they travel to No. 1 SUNY Geneseo at 1 pm Wednesday in the semifinal round.

Natasia Plunkett scored the only goal of the game in the Matchup vs. Vassar on an assist by Morgan Woolley in the first nine minutes. Hawks goalie Gail Comiskey and a stout defense made the Lone goal hold up.

With the triumph over Vassar, SUNY New Paltz clinched its fourth straight season with double digit wins.
