Women’s Hockey Falters in Overtime, 2-1

SCHENECTADY, ​​NY – Riley Walsh scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to lead the Union College Women’s hockey team to a 2-1 Victory over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in an ECAC Hockey game.

Walsh, who scored at 15:51 of the first to tie the game, got her second at 3:02 of the extra period to give the Dutchwomen their third overtime win of the month.

RPI notched the game’s initial goal on the power play when Sabrina Beaudoinscored at 6:52. Magdalena Erbenova and Nina Christof had assists on the play.

Amanda Rampado played all 62:56 for the Engineers (2-10-1; 0-4-1), making 15 saves. Sophie Matsoukas stopped 22 shots for the Dutchwomen (7–1; 2-2-1).
