Piers Morgan hits out at ‘KLOWN’ Erik ten Hag over Cristiano Ronaldo criticism

Piers Morgan has fired back at Erik ten Hag and once again jumped to the defense of his friend Cristiano Ronaldo.

Responding publicly to the interview last month that ended Ronaldo’s Manchester United career, Ten Hag – among other things – explained why he rarely chose not to use the Portuguese.

– Last year he scored 24 goals, didn’t he? So what does this team need? We need goals. Yes, possibly (new deal), but that’s theoretical. “When he’s fit, he’s a good player and he could help us come back and achieve our goals that we have, that’s quite clear, but he wasn’t,” he explained.

Morgan responded to the Dutchman on Twitter, writing: “When he’s fit he’s a good player.” Hard to imagine why this clown didn’t respect Ronaldo, right?

The latest risks of controversy fall even further from the interview, which dominated both the front and back pages before the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag himself criticized Ronaldo for not being honest about his motives in the summer – with the Dutchman claiming the player did not tell him he wanted to leave the club.
