A special assembly was held at Patanjali Rishikul on Thursday to recognize the achievements of the students who participated in the recent cluster level games held in different cities of the state organized by CBSE in New Delhi. They were felicitated by President Patanjali Rishikul, Ravindra Gupta and Principal Nityanand Singh.
A total of 93 students of Patanjali Rishikuli participated in seven games including table tennis, kho-kho, badminton, volleyball, basketball, chess and taekwondo in CBSE cluster 2022-23. Class 11 Priyal Pathak won a silver medal in taekwondo in the under-19 category (under 73 kg weight category) and thereby also qualified for the national taekwondo tournament to be held in Ghaziabad from December 31 to January 4. Class 8 Insha Riaz bagged bronze in the under-14 girls (over 55 kg) category.
Rishikuli table tennis team not only won the silver medal but also qualified for the nationals.
In the table tennis individual competition, 6th grade Atharva Sharma won bronze.
Led by Class 10 Vaishnavi Pandey, the girls’ volleyball team showed their mettle by grabbing bronze. They became the proud recipient of the second runner-up award. Brinda Kandpal and Vasundhara Maurya of class 5 won bronze.
Along with sports, NCC cadets also won several medals in various cultural and sports activities organized during NCC camp at RDBL College, Nawabganj, Prayagraj from 12th to 19th September.
