Watch as Mark Selby warms up for the Masters with his 750th career win

Mark Selby collected his 750th career century in the Championship on Tuesday as he continued his hot streak ahead of the Masters.

After losing 3-2 to Matthew Selt in his Group Three opener, the world number one bounced back with a 3-1 win against Jordan Brown before beating Walden, who produced 112 in the third frame to move to the top of the rankings.

Selt made breaks of 80, 91 and 127 as he came from 2-1 down to edge Selby, who ran in two half-century breaks in a high-quality encounter.

Selby, who meets Kyren Wilson and Jamie Jones on Wednesday, is closing in on Stephen Hendry as the fifth-heaviest century-maker of all time. He is just 26 clear of the seven-time world champion for sixth since turning pro in 1999.

The third group of the SM league ends on Wednesday night, when the four best of the seven-person series compete for the semifinals and the final.

Stuart Bingham and Jack Lisowski have already reached the SM league winners’ group at the beginning of March.

The overall winner of the championship league will qualify for next year’s Champion of Champions competition.
