Quadri advances to R16 at the Durban WTT

Nigerian table tennis star Aruna Quadri has advanced to the men’s singles round of 16 at the ongoing World Table Tennis tournament in Durban, South Africa.

Quadri withstood a strong challenge from Chinese star Sun Wen to secure his place in the next round on Thursday.

The Nigerian won the 32-round tie 3-1, dispatching the Chinese car park in the process.

The match ended with the scores 12-10, 15-13, 13-11 and (11-8) as Africa’s number one.
