The Toronto Marlies and Manitoba Moose are forced to reschedule their entire Canadian American Hockey League game due to a medical emergency in the stands.
With the teams tied 1-1 Friday night at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, a fan experienced a medical emergency between the first and second periods and was attended to by emergency personnel.
According to the Toronto Marlies, it was decided to suspend the game after consultation with both teams and the AHL.
The Toronto Marlies and MLSE said they are “grateful to the EMS personnel and fans who assisted in the emergency.”
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the fan, their families and loved ones,” the Marlies said in a postgame statement.
The game will be completed later.
